This romantic balcony at the Fisherman’s Bastion should be on your bucket list for Budapest

LOCATION

This is the exact location. You stand at the Fisherman’s Bastion with the window arches and the view on Budapest in front of you. The back of the Matthias Church is at your back. Then turn left around the corner to the steps leading down. Do not go down the steps but go through the small door on the left. There is the balcony.

BEST TIME

Be at the Fisherman’s Bastion as early as possible. The best time is for sunrise. So you avoid the crowds and you can take pictures without people.

BEST VIEW

To shoot the balcony with the best angle, you should take the pictures from the window arches in front of the Matthias Church. When I was there a huge tree covered the Budapest Parliament (the most important motif for this pic). But don’t worry there are some stairs on the left side of the window arches. Walk them up and look over the top of the arches for the best view and angle on the balcony.
